AzoAMP-4 is an azobenzene derivative that was developed by Dhammika Bandara. Like AzoAMP-5, AzoAMP-4 does not exhibit significant trans to cis isomerization upon exposure to light. The behavior is attributed to an electronic effect that changes conical intersections between the excited states.
