Institutional Advancement at WPI – Helping You Get Funded

Welcome to WPI’s Office of Institutional Advancement, your partner in securing that funding from private and corporate foundations. Institutional Advancement provides you with the technical support you need to present your research, project or program to a foundation to achieve funding success.

Institutional Advancement helps you:

       • Identify and research potential funders
       • Develop a solicitation strategy
       • Prepare your proposal
       • Coordinate with other offices within WPI
       • Liaise with the foundation
       • Submit your funding request and administer your award

WPI has three offices that complement each other in the grant-application process: Office of Development and Alumni Relations; Office of Sponsored Programs; and, Office of Corporate Engagement. Depending on the nature of your project, you will work with one or more of these offices.

So how do you begin to get funding for your program or project?
