Sharing Individual Videos with Public Links

To link to videos that you have recorded in Echo360 Personal Capture (PCAP) in Canvas modules, follow these steps.

In PCAP, you can upload to either your personal library or to your course site.

Upload button

Now, log in to your canvas site. Click on the Echo360 button on the left side menu.

If you've uploaded to your personal library, from your dashboard, click on Library.

Then, you can click on the thumbnail of the video itself.

Below the player window you'll see: Info, Publishing and Sharing.

But, if from PCAP you've uploaded to your course site, you'll see a list of videos associated with your course when you click on Echo360 in Canvas.

You can click on the green button next to the title of the video you'd like to embed in a module.

Upload button

The green button, across from the video you want in your dashboard, releases a drop down menu. From the drop down menu, click on details.

Now, whether you've clicked on a video from your personal library or whether you've clicked on a green button in your dashboard, below the player window you'll see three options: INFO, PUBLISHING, SHARING.
Click on Sharing.

Select video

If you scroll down, you'll see the option to Add Public Link.

Add Public Link

Copy the link in the public link address field. Now, you can click on Modules in the left-side navigation menu.

Canvas modules

Select the module to which you want to add the video. By clicking on the plus sign on the top right of the module, you add an item.

PCAP download

The type of item you are adding is an external URL.

Students will be able to see the item after you publish it.
