FerriBRIGHT is a fluorescent probe that was developed by Daniel Kennedy. FerriBRIGHT is non-emissive in solution. Upon the addition of Fe3+ or Cu2+, the catechol is oxidized to the corresponding quinone to yield FerriBRIGHT-Q. FerriBRIGHT-Q is fluorescent.
