Approved Materials for laser cutter
Acrylic
Delrin (Acetal copolymer)
Wood and paper based materials such as birch, balsa, or vanilla folder. (not plywood)
Cloth
Reserving the laser cutter
Reserving the laser cutter gives you priority but it is frowned upon to reserve the laser cutter for more than 2 hours at a time.
1. Log on to my.wpi.edu
2. Go to the Community tab
3. Search "manufacturing" and select manufacturing-labs
4. Go to the content tab on the left.
5. Select the Manufacturing Sharepoint link
6. Then add a calendar event to the calendar and select "laser cutter" along with persons name and projects name.
